Release of Avast Security for Mac 13.5

It’s already more than two months from the last release and today Avast announced new version of their Avast Security for Mac 13.5 for both Free and Pro editions. In this new version are couple new things in functionality and also few bug fixes. Read full list of announced changes and fixes below.

What’s new

  • New Ransomware Shield, when activated, protects default directories for all users
  • New CMD+K shortcut for Activation subscription page
  • New static message in “Managed by” for managed SMB customers
  • New mechanism for quick Ransomware Shield updates
  • Improved Ransomware Shield performance during boot
  • Updated Ransomware Shield sensitivity
  • Fixed integration of WebShield and Firefox version 58
  • Fixed minor glitches and user interface in Wi-Fi Inspector

You can always update your existing installation of Avast product through the user interface. Or you can download the installation file from Avast directly, just choose the product you have installed:
